While thinking about new American politics one can get the impression that there is a need for change. The motivations for entering the political field, have made it almost impossible for many to even consider the idea of running for office. The positions of power have been set in proverbial concrete over time.
We've all learned of the amount of diligence, the people who set up this country applied to the documents they prepared to protect the country's future generations.These people where there because they where patriots. The financial aspect that has entered today's political scene, has made a mockery out of these institutions. The design of the laws that should rule the country was intended to work in any situation. The problem is they could never imagine what was to become of their little country.
Politics now, is something of a beast that must be fed. Special interest groups and small sectors of the industrial arena, have made the politicians of today their personal wedges to sway decision in their financial favor. Getting laws passed to explicitly factor into results that will increase profits, regardless of the environmental or economical effects it may have in general. This practise has put the nation in peril.
Change has become a necessity. A completely new method of choosing the candidates has to be in place before any results will show. The average countryman should have a possibility of achieving office. It should not take millions of dollars to make a difference. Actually achieving this kind of change is almost impossible due to the fact that the ones who would have to make the changes are the ones in power.
When considering a new way to choose how the decision makers are picked when we elect them, a new motive must be introduced. The profit from being a politician must be removed as an incentive. This will make way for people that truly run because they care about the future well being of the nation, only.
A small change will not work. The people in power need to be left from the equation and this could prove impossible. They will not step aside and watch their paychecks are being cut. An average patriot could never mount an acceptable campaign.
The results of doing nothing will become apparent faster then the world is ready for them. Action must be taken now. Who will step up and attempt these changes to new American politics, remains to be seen.
